Hi everyone! Today I have an eye-catching layout that is simple to recreate. I love the geometric style of many home decor and fashion items. I decided it would be easy to take that inspiration and put it to use on a scrapbook layout. This is so simple to do and can easily take on whatever color palette you wish. Plus it would work on a wide variety of projects!
Supplies Needed:
- Ruler
- Scissors or paper trimmer
- Adhesive
- Pencil
- Foam adhesive
- Brown Box Kraft
- Cherry Wood Veneer
- Amethyst Colorplan
- Sirio Ultra Black
- Whip Cream Pop-Tone
- Bianco Pergamenata Parchment
Optional:
- Alphas
- Embellishments
- Stickers
First I cut a lot of strips of different papers. I wanted a graphic look using the Cherry Wood Veneer paper. From there I chose my other paper colors to coordinate. Each strip is 1 inch wide and 11-12 inches long (depending on the length of paper I used). Then I started playing with the placement of my strips. I measured out the centers of my paper and put a light pencil mark on my background paper to aid in the lining up of my geometric elements. When I was happy, I glued everything down.
After my paper strips were adhered, I moved on to the photo. I chose to layer some Whip Cream, Amethyst, and Bianco Parchment papers behind to pull in all of the elements. I popped the photo up on some foam adhesive and adhered it down on an angle.
Then, I started embellishing. I chose a premade title piece and went from there.
I chose florals to add some softness to the layout. I’m extremely happy with the boldness of this layout!
