Hello friends, it’s Neftali here today! I want to welcome you back to another fun project using the gorgeous Cardstock Warehouse papers. I am so excited to be working on some “me” projects this month, especially because it’s my birthday month! I always feel excited to use and make all for myself in celebration of all my favorite things. So, I’m here to share the project I made and read thru to find a process video at the end!
But first, here are the supplies you’ll need:
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
- 12x12 white base cardstock (we recommend Sweet Tooth White)
- Rose Quartz Metallic Paper
- White Diamond Print Inkjet Glitter Paper
- 5 Patterned Papers of Choice
- Embellishment Stickers of Choice
- Sewing Machine
- Die-cutting Machine
I am so excited to be sharing my first 12x12 layout with you all! This format is my absolute favorite and go-to. I’m here to share a fun way to make a simple, yet stunning layout like this one.
I started off by choosing some cut files and immediately fell in love with two butterfly designs. If you have an electric cutting machine, then your options are unlimited. However, if you don’t, you might be able to use a manual die cutting machine. There are plenty of beautiful dies you can use to recreate something similar.
I chose two different but very similar cut files from the Silhouette Design Store that included my favorite icon to add to my layouts, butterflies! There were two different kinds: one meant to be a background and one identical but in form of a wreath I could layer on top.
I cut out one of the base designs on a 12x12 sheet of paper, and two more cuts of the layering butterflies on the White Diamond and Rose Quartz papers. I cut them off their cluster so I could layer them and give some pretty butterfly dimension.
The beauty of these butterflies comes from the beautiful papers I used. I used the Rose Quartz Metallic Paper and the White Diamond Print Inkjet Glitter Paper. These two papers are like magic together. They give such a beautiful and ethereal look and I just had to use both.
I backed my base butterflies using the One Canoe Two Willow Collection and used the cut apart sheet to back my photo. The source of inspiration for this layout is the papers and my favorite color: the beautiful rose. It doesn’t always happen like this, but today this layout was to capture the feelings of my photo with the colors and images on my page.
I used the coordinating Willow sticker sheet to add floral stickers to my page and fill in around the center of my page. After that, I simply stitched a border around my page, and my layout was finished.
I love the soft and ethereal look that the Diamond ink and the Rose Quartz paper bring to my page. It’s the perfect mix of colors and textures!
