Hey, crafty friends! I am obsessed with the Be Bold Blooms die set and can't seem to stop making cards with it! Stardream Metallic papers add the perfect touch of shimmer to these lovely florals! Today I am going to show you how I made these cards so you can make your own! Let's get started!
Supplies:
- Cardstock Warehouse Papers:
- Stardream Collection 105lb Papers
- pre-cut A2 Stardream cards
- Stardream A2 Envelopes
- Be Bold Blooms Die Set (found in our Craft Essentials)
- Bearly Art® Glue (or similar precision paper adhesive)
- Scor-Tape
- Hearts embossing folder
Start by die cutting all of your floral pieces using the Be Bold Blooms die set.
You will need LOTS of pieces for this, and I used almost all of the colors in the Stardream collection. I found that it was easiest to just cut multiples of each piece in every color, with the exception of the greenery pieces which I only cut in Fairway Green. This will give you lots of options to choose from when you start assembling. This is just a tiny fraction of all the pieces I cut.
Glue together the layers of flowers in the combinations you prefer. You could do all your flowers the same colors for a monochromatic look, or use lots of colors like I did.
Now let's get the card base ready. You will need a folded A2 card (5.5x4.25), a coordinating mat (5.25x4), and a light-colored smaller mat (5x3.75). I chose to use Stardream Crystal White for my smallest mat so the flowers would really stand out.
Run your small Crystal sheet through an embossing folder to give it some fun texture, I used a heart design. Then layer together all of the mats using Scor-Tape.
Now the fun part... decorating! Begin layering your flowers, starting at the center and working your way out. I like to get the general layout figured out before I start gluing, and then I only glue the center of each flower down so I can slide leaves and other flowers under the edges if I need to.
Continue adding flowers until you have reached your desired amount. I am a "more is more" kind of gal, so I filled almost the entire card with flowers. Here are two of the ones I made, all with Stardream Metallic paper and coordinating envelopes! I sent one to my mother-in-law and she loved it so much that she framed it in her kitchen! 🥰
I hope you enjoyed these cards and that they inspired you to create!
