Ahh, yes… The colors of Summer. Doesn’t it just do something to you? I feel like the beginning of the summer is the best part! Now don’t get me wrong, if you follow me I’ve said that Fall is my favorite season… And that is still true. I love the colors of Fall, I love the fresh air of Fall, I love everything it brings… But very similar to Fall, Summer does the same. The flowers are blooming, the sun is shining, people are playing outside, it’s just a free time to roam about and enjoy life. Bottom line… I hate winter. Lol!! 🤷🏽♀️ With the summer colors in mind, I thought it would be awesome to create a card to let all of the beautiful colors that you can find at Cardstock Warehouse shine! Let’s get started with this beautiful summer card.
I’ve included several free SVG files for you to use to create this card yourself. Let's get started!

Bling pieces (optional)
Cut out your card base, first inner layer and second inner layer. I wanted to add color even on the inside of the card, so I used Chartreuse for one of the layers. Cut out your front geometric frame shape. I used Sweet Tooth White and Silver MirriSparkle for those. You have a few options for the inserts to the geometric front. You could just do one color in all of the shapes or multiple colors. You can do a few colors or as many as I did. I used the colors listed in the supplies above for the geometric pieces. Then, cut out the accessories for your card. I used Factory Yellow, Razzle Berry, and Sour Apple for the rolled flowers. I used Silver Mirror for the leaves. For the paint brush, I used White Birch Wood Veneer, Silver Mirror, and Sweet Tooth White.
Starting with rosettes, I used a quilling tool to form my rosettes. I love this tool and it makes rolling flowers much easier. I wanted my flowers to be loose, but you can roll them as tight as you wish.
Next layer the base of your paintbrush. I used white card stock under my wood veneer cardstock for stability. I adhered them together with glossy accents. I also added foam dots to the back of the paint brush bristles and the metal frame. This is how it will look all together.
Layer your sentiment an offset piece on top of each other together with wet glue and add foam dots to the back.
Glue in both of your inner layer pieces to your card base. Your card can fold in a couple different directions. The angle is up to you. I had mine open from the left. You can also angle it to open from the top, or the right. Or it could be a flip up from the bottom.
Use wet glue to adhere the frame to the front of the card base. Gather your cut outs together and lay them appropriately on the card. This is how it should look together.
Now it’s time to add all the accessories to the card and we are almost done. First take your two leaf bits and center them on the card as pictured.
Take the foam tape backing off the back of the paintbrush and apply it to the center of the card.
Add your rolled rosettes on top of the paintbrush, center. Then add your sentiment to the lower left. Voilà! You are done with this card! Isn’t it so cute?? Here are a few pictures at a couple different angles to show you the complete card. I hope you enjoyed this card and the free SVG files. As always I am happy to make them for you all!
