Hello crafty friends! I hope you're having a great day! It's Christmas in July, and I'm so excited to share with you a beary adorable holiday card project featuring gorgeous cardstock from Cardstock Warehouse and a new stamp set I designed! Let's jump in!
Supplies:
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Paper:
- Lessebo Colours 100 lb. White, Beach Blue, and Purple Haze
- Gumdrop Green 100 lb. (From my scrap pile. Sadly this color is discontinued.)
- Colorplan 100 lb. Fuchsia Pink Colorplan
- Gold Mirror
- Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass Ink
- The Diary of Belle Rose Precious Bears Zoey Stamp
- Sizzix Presents Thinlets Die Set
- Banner Die
- Snowflake Die
- OLO Markers
- Blending Brush
- Adhesives
- Liquid Adhesive Glue
- Foam Tape
To begin, I opened my new stamp set and used an alcohol marker friendly ink to stamp the bear image. I designed this stamp set myself and am so proud to share it with everyone! I then used OLO markers to color the image, and used precision scissors to fussy cut the bear.
Next, I used a blending brush to apply Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide to a “stitched” White Lessebo die cut panel. I like how this gives me a soft and cozy background.
I then selected the cardstock to die cut the presents using the Sizzix Presents Thinlets die set. (You could also use presents files from your electronic die cutting machine software.) I’m using Beach Blue, Fuschia, Purple Haze, a scrap of Gumdrop, and Gold Mirror. Once the pieces were cut, I layered them together with liquid glue and positioned the elements on the panel the way I liked them. I used foam tape and liquid adhesive to adhere them to the panel. The foam tape gives some of them a bit of dimension and makes them stand out more! The bear is also attached with foam tape to make it stand out.
Next, I stamped the sentiment onto white paper and cut it into a banner. I used the stitched frame die to cut the right side of the banner to match the stitching on the panel. I adhered the sentiment to the panel with the stitching lined up. This makes it look like the two layers are “stitched” together.
For a final touch, I cut and adhered a few White Diamond Print snowflakes to the card front. I then adhered the panel to a Gold Mirror mat (4in x 5.25in) and then adhered to a 4.25in x 5.5in top folding card base.
And now I have a BEARY cute card! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and are inspired to Make Something Beautiful® for the holiday season!
