Hi everyone! Erica from @wanderfuldesign here. My husband is the BEST dad! I know you probably think the father figure in your life is the best dad too, so let's make something fun to celebrate them!
We have an amazing local popsicle shop that my husband loves to visit, so my daughter and I decided to get him a gift certificate. I'm not the type that can just give a gift certificate in a store-bought card, so we used the popsicle theme as inspiration to create this adorable "best POP ever" card and accompanying 3D gift card box to put the gift card in. Let's get started!

I started by getting all of my die cutting files ready. I chose my 3 favorite popsicles from the Creative Fabrica file above and added them to Cricut Design Space. I used the slice, contour, and duplicate features to manipulate the popsicles a bit to achieve the look I was going for. I also created a solid base layer for each of the popsicles to give them dimension and allow the stick to be glued in the middle of the layers. Then, I used the text feature to create a sentiment. I'm using the font "ITC Souvenir" on Cricut for mine, but you can choose what you like best. I then selected all my text and added a .125in offset around it. I will cut this piece out of vellum to create a fun effect with the silver and holographic papers!
For the popsicle gift box, I chose to use the "solid score line" option in the Etsy file so I converted my score lines over and attached them, then chose my colors. I'm using Marrs and Chartruese for these because I just LOVE these two colors together! So bright and fun!
Now you're ready to cut! I listed all my color choices above.
Time to create a card base! I cut a 4.25in x 5.5in card base using Park Green, a 4.125in by 5.375in mat using Marrs Green, and a 4in x 5.25in White Diamond Glitter panel. I used a hexagon embossing folder to emboss the white glitter layer, but you can use whatever embossing folder you have on hand.
I layered all of these together with Scor-Tape because it's nice and strong. I also grabbed a Chartreuse envelope to match, and glued a 4in x 5.25in white panel on the inside to write the message on. I love how thick and luxurious these card bases feel!
From here, it's just a layering game! I am using Bearly Art® glue to layer all my popsicle pieces together with the popsicle stick in the middle. Glue the wood veneer sticks to the center of the base layer. I used my ruler to make them all the same length. Now just layer your popsicle pieces on top!
To make things a little easier for the tricolor popsicle, I turned the three pieces over, held them in place, and added a small piece of masking tape. I then glued it to the base with the stick. This prevented the pieces from sliding around while they dried and made it easier to ensure they were in the right spot.
Now let's get our sentiment ready. I glued each letter onto their appropriate spot on the vellum offset using Bearly Art® glue. While it was drying, I attached my popsicles to the front of my card using Scor-Tape.
Once my sentiment was dry, I flipped it over and added teeny tiny foam dots to the back of where the thicker parts of the letters are. I did this so the foam tape would not show through the front of the sentiment. I then attached it on the bottom section of the card.
Your popsicle card is now done! If you'd like to stop here and just give this card as-is, you're all done! Cecelia includes files that are compatible with any electronic machine and has a step-by-step video tutorial on how to assemble these easy boxes. This box took me 10 minutes to make from start to finish! *mind blown* I highly encourage you to purchase this file and pair it with Cardstock Warehouse paper! Their 100 lb. Colorplan is PERFECT for these 3d boxes because it is easy to work with, but also nice and sturdy!
I finished off my box by adding some crinkle paper I made by running my scraps through a paper shredder. NOTHING goes to waste in this craft room!
