Blue Floral Thank You Card

Hi, everyone! Natasha of @PoliteCreations, joining you for a blog post featuring the Materica collection. These papers are such great colors for fall, and are so nice to work with. The subtle texture is great and you can really feel the cotton fibers in these papers! Let's get started...

Supplies:

• Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Paper:
• Materica Collection 92lb: Ardesia, Acqua, Clay, Cobalt, Gesso, Limestone, Pitch Brown
• Concord & 9th "Picked Posies" Die Set
• Concord & 9th "Defined" Stamp Set
• Altenew Fresh Dye Inks: Starlight, Tide Blue, Permanent Black
• Adhesives:
• Double-Sided Adhesive Roll
• Small Foam Squares
• Translucent Blues Hero Hues Enamel Dots
• Additional Tools:
• Picket Fence Inking Palette
• Ink Blending Brushes
• Paper Trimmer
• Scissors
• Misti Stamping Platform

To begin, I grabbed one sheet each of Materica cardstock in the colors Acqua, Cobalt, CLay, and Pitch Brown and adhered double-sided adhesive to the back of each. I then die cut my elements using the blue tones for the flowers, and the remainder for the leaves and stems.

With everything cut out, I moved onto inking the flower stems and leaves. I used the Starlight fresh dye ink for the flower petals and Pitch Brown stems and leaves. Tide Blue ink was also added to the petals, flower centers, and on the Limestone greenery.

I used a small blending brush for this since the petals are smaller.

With all elements inked, I began assembly. I played with placement before I removed the backing on the die cuts to adhere my flowers onto a Limestone 3.75x5 inch panel. Using foam squares, I added the flowers and popped up the centers to add dimension and movement.

Using Gesso cardstock and the Defined Stamp Set, I stamped a "thanks" using permanent black fresh dye ink. Instead of using a die, I simply used my paper trimmer to cut the sentiment into a rectangle and added that onto my panel using foam tape. I use this method a lot to create simple but elegant sentimemts for my cards.

From there I used scissors to cut off any overhang petals and leaves and adhered my floral panel onto the Ardesia cardstock A2 card base. As a finishing touch, I added a few of the Translucent Blues Hero Hues Enamel Dots around the flowers.
