Hi, Friends! The excitement of Fall is almost here and I am sooooo excited for this next project!
This year my goal is to go apple picking at an apple orchard! I’ve never done it and I want my boys to experience it. My hope is that we can make yummy apple pie and cider and maybe send some to our neighbors. BUT we will need some gift tags to go along with it, so follow along and let’s create some Apple Gift Tags!
SUPPLIES:
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
- Wild Cherry, Cherry, Natural, Forest Green, Sour Apple Green, Chocolate
- ZIG 2-Way Pen
- Cricut Design Space Apple Themed Files
- If you don't have a Cricut, you can find similar images in the software for your cutting machine.
- ATG (Advanced Tape Glider)
- Cutting Machine or Dies
- Twine
Go to your die cutting machine's designing website and pick a few images that are apple related, or you can get SVG’s from Etsy or other websites. I picked some free images from Cricut Design Space. If you're using a Cricut, you can click here to be taken directly to the completed project. Cricut Design Space Apple Themed Files
Size each image to your liking. For the truck image and the “Apple Pie” phrase, I made them into tags using a circle image and the offset feature on Design Space. You can view the process below.
Next, organize your colors for each image.
For the truck, I used Sirio Cherry for the base, Sour Apple Green for the apples, Chocolate for the stems, Forest Green for the leaves, and Natural for the backing.
For the “Apple Pie” tag I used Siri Cherry and Oatmeal.
Lastly, for the apple tag, I used Natural for the base, Oatmeal for the top of the tag, and a mixture of Sour Apple Green, Siri Cherry, and Wild Cherry for the apples. I used Chocolate and Forest Green for the leaves and stems. The inside of the apples are Natural.
Here's what all the pieces look like before assembly! Simply glue them together and you're done! Easiest project ever!
Once you have them assembled, add some twine and add it to the package of your homemade apple pie! Your recipients will be so impressed!
Thanks for hanging out and I can’t wait to see what you create for your teachers! Share your creations with us on our Instagram or Facebook page, and use #cardstockwarehouse for a chance to be featured on our page!
Thank you for following along!
