Hi there, Friends! Kayla here from HoneyBee Paper Co. This summer looks a little different for my family this year. We planned on a family camping trip but due to uncertain circumstances we are planning to have one in our backyard (but, I don’t mind, because that means less packing!).
My oldest boy LOVES s’mores! Of course, since we have to incorporate that into our backyard camping day, I figured I could make s’mores gift tags to add to a “make-it-yourself” treat bag.
Let’s get started!
SUPPLIES:
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers: Flame Stardream, Lemon Drop, Sour Apple, Gumdrop Green, Forest Green, Lapis Lazuli Stardream, Natural Pergamenata Parchment, Chocolate Speckletone, Birch Wood Veneer
- Die Cutting Machine(s)
- Zig 2-Way Glue Pen
- Crafters Tape
- S’mores Themed Die Cut Set
- Foam Adhesive Squares
- Twine
Before we start, let’s gather our supplies.
First, I went into Design Space and added some free images. I added a tag (#M3B8B5), trees (#M46214), a moon (#M10DBDE22) & then I resized a basic circle.
Next, I resized some of the images. My tag is approximately 4.6” long, so I sized the other images accordingly. Then I went ahead and cut the Design Space images out.
I am going to take my Cricut Cuttlebug Die Cutter and begin cutting the campfire pieces. For this part I used Flame Metallic (fire back piece), Lemon Drop (fire front piece), Natural Pergamenata Parchment (marshmallows), and Chocolate Speckletone (wood pile/tree trunks/roasting stick).
Now, the best part. Assembling!
First, I am going to take the base of the tag in White Birch Wood Veneer 12pt and use my crafter’s tape to adhere the smaller tag in Lapis Lazuli Metallic onto it. Then I will adhere the “hill” or half circle in Forest Green onto the bottom of the tag.
Next, I am going to assemble the trees together, then add mounting tape to the backs of them and adhere them onto the tag.
Now for my favorite part of this tag, the campfire and roasted s’mores on a stick! To begin, I am using the 2-Way Zig Pen to glue the “firewood” onto the Forest Green hill. Next, I am going to assemble the fire by glueing the smaller Lemon Drop flame onto the larger Flame Metallic. Once that has been done, I am going to add a small piece of mounting tape to the back and adhere it onto the firewood piece we glued on in the previous step.
For the final piece of the tag, I am going to assemble the stick with the “s’mores” attached. For these pieces I am using Chocolate Speckletone for the stick and Natural Pergamenata Parchment for the marshmallow.
And there we have it! An easy Campfire S’mores Tag to make your camping trips a little bit more fun!
Thanks for hanging out and I can’t wait to see all of your tags! Share them with us on our Instagram or Facebook page, and use #cardstockwarehouse for a chance to be featured on our page!
Happy Crafting and Happy Spring!
