Hey crafty friends, Joy here! I have a super fun project for you today! I made 2 decorative boxes, you can put a small card, a gift card, candy or even a small gift inside. These were so fun and easy to make! Let’s get started!
Supplies
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
- Stardream Aquamarine
- Stardream Coral
- Barely Green
- Spearmint
- Pure White
- Ebony
- Desert Sand
- Gold Touch
- Gift Box Die
- Die Cutting Machine
- Black Ink
- Clear Embossing Ink
- Gold Embossing Powder
- Liquid Glue
- Heat Tool
- Scor-Tape
I started by die cutting the two boxes, I used Stardream Aquamarine and Stardream Coral. I folded on the score lines and used Score Tape to adhere the boxes together. I also die cut two bows from Desert Sand and Gold Touch cardstock and glued the bows together with liquid glue. If you do not have a steel die for mini boxes, you can use any box template from your electronic cutting machine software.
I die cut the flap part of the box from Pure White and Barely Green cardstock. I stamped the polka dots with black ink on the Pure White cardstock from the Mini Gift Box Stamp and then adhered it to the flap on the coral box with liquid glue. I stamped the stripes onto the Barely Green cardstock with clear embossing ink, sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and heated that until it was melted. I glued that to the Aquamarine box.
The coral box is decorated with the Desert Sand Bow, I adhered that directly to the notch for the flap to tuck into. I stamped and die cut the tag from the Mini Gift Box Stamp and Die sets. I used Pure White and Spearmint for the tags. I finished with a few die cut hearts from Desert Sand.
For the aquamarine box, I attached the Gold Touch bow to the flap, adhered a Coral heart to the notch for the flap and added the large sentiment die cut from Ebony and Gold Touch cardstock.
These are perfect to give a sweet little surprise to someone you love!
I hope you enjoyed this project, Have a wonderful day!
