There are so many things to love about mom! This year, make her this beautiful multi-layered floral card to show her how much you care about her. As an added gift, you can give her a 5x7” shadow box frame so she can frame and display her beautiful card and remember how much you love her every single day!
To create this beautiful floral Mother’s Day card, you will need:
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
- Foundations Collection - Pure White
- Wood Veneer Collection - Cherry
- Colorplan Collection - Pale Grey
- Colorplan Collection - Cobalt
- Colorplan Collection - New Blue
- Colorplan Collection - Park Green
- Pop-Tone Collection - Pink Lemonade
- Stardream Collection - Opal
- Cricut Maker, or Explore
- Cricut Deboss Tool
- Adhesive foam dots
- Zig Glue Pen
- Ruler, Straightedge tool, or Scraper
- Misc. Embellishments
Now that you have everything you need, let’s get to work creating this gorgeous floral card!
To begin, cut all of your pieces on your cutting machine.
The cutting file for this project can be found by clicking this link to Cricut Design Space:

If you are using a Cricut Explore instead of a Maker, you can change this layer to "score" instead of "deboss" and use your scoring stylus. The lines will not be as deep, but will still be beautiful.
After cutting out all of your paper pieces, start assembling the card base for the project. Glue the 5x7” wood veneer layer to a 5x7” card base. I used Pure White 100 lb. cover for the card base.
Attach the debossed Opal layer to the front center of the Cherry veneer layer on the front of the card using adhesive foam dots.
Using adhesive foam dots, attach the Opal oval cutout to the front center of the Cherry veneer oval cutout.
Next, attach the assembled oval to the front center of the assembled layered card base using adhesive foam dots.
Now that the card base is all assembled and layered, we will now attach the greenery layer to the card. Arrange the greenery and attach using glue.
We will now shape and assemble the floral pieces. Using a straight edge or scraper, shape the top layers of the blue flowers. Layer the flower pieces and attach using glue and adhesive foam dots.
Arrange and layer the flowers as desired, and attach the flowers using glue and adhesive foam dots.
You can add additional embellishments if desired. I added various brads and sticker dots to the flower centers.
Once you have your card embellished as desired, you are all done! Add a thoughtful note to the inside of the card, and your card is all ready to go!
