Hey y’all!! I can’t believe the 2022 school year is coming to an end and it's Graduation time! One of my good friends asked me to do her son’s graduation party decorations. James and his friends are having a joint party, so I came up with this banner design that includes all their names. Ok, let's get started assembling...
Supplies:
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
- Smoke Grey Colorplan 100lb
- Ebony Colorplan 100lb
- Bright White Colorplan 100lb
- Purple Colorplan 100lb
- Silver Diamond Print Inkjet Glitter
- Electronic Die-Cutting Machine
- Files: Graduation cap, pennant, font of choice, graduation silhouette
- Adhesive
- Foam Dots
- Ribbon
- Hole Punch
Once I have all my pieces cut out I am ready to get started assembling. The first thing I do is glue and layer the pennants. Once I have the pennants glued, I move onto putting the letters together. I love giving my letters a 3D look so I make them in 3 layers (you can use your offset option in Cricut or Silhouette to create layers). Glue the top and middle layer of the letter together. Then on the back of the middle letter, add pop dots and layer it on to the back letter.
Now that all the letters & pennants are glued, let's add the letters to the pennants. I pop dot the back the letters and add them to the pennant which gives your banner a real 3D look. *Tip: I like using my craft mat lines/grid to line up the letters on the pennants.*
Glue the numbers & names onto the grad caps & grad silhouettes.
Finally, punch holes and string your banners on a ribbon or twine of your choice.
Now it’s time to start getting ready for the party and decorating!! Happy Graduation Class of 2022!!
