Hello everyone! Share ‘Bugs & Kisses’ with these adorable ladybug lollipop holders. Perfect as an extra special handmade Valentine for friends, classmates, or teachers! Follow along with this easy and cute Valentine’s Day idea.
Supplies:
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Paper:
- Red Wagon MirriSparkle 105lb
- Lessebo Blossom 83 lb
- Lessebo Pitch Black 83 lb
- Lessebo White 83 lb
- Cutting Machine (Linking my Cricut file below, but if you have a different machine, you can create a lollipop holder with similar images)
- Cutting machine pen
- 2” Flat Lollipops
- Craft Tape Runner / Liquid Glue
- Ink Pen
- Cricut Design Space File
Start by cutting out all the pieces from the above Cricut file. If you don't have a Cricut, you can search for similar images on your electronic die cutting machine. You could also cut out similar images by hand. I created this lollipop holder myself using a ladybug image from Cricut Design Space. With the ‘Slice’ and ‘Weld’ tools I cut a hole based on the lollipop’s size and created a small slot for the stick.
After cutting all your pieces, assemble the wing layers and base using craft tape runner and liquid glue. I added a simple ‘To & From’ label on the back of the ladybug using the Cricut writing pen feature and a black Cricut pen for easy gifting. You could also easily write this part by hand with a pretty pen or marker, or stamp a sentiment here with rubber stamps.
Place the lollipop through the slot and enclose the ladybug at the top. After gluing together, press firmly. Each side of the ladybug remains unglued.
Lastly, add the flag around the lollipop stick using craft tape runner or liquid glue. I chose the phrase "bugs & kisses" for a fun little pun, but you could also put you recipients name on this flag.
That’s it! Your ladybug lollipop holder is ready to flutter away and spread some love this Valentine's Day.
