Hi Crafty Friends! Today I’m bringing you the fastest, most adorable paper pumpkin! What I love most is that it contains a cheetah print style, and growing up, I adored the Cheetah Girls, haha! Also, if you’re hosting Thanksgiving or any Fall/Friends events, this is the perfect décor item and can be finished in only 10 minutes!
Supplies:
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers:
- Woodstock 105lb papers: Nero, Arancio, Giallo, Rosa, Malva, Blu Intenso, Cipria, Comoscio, Noce
- Layered Pumpkin SVG File from Creative Fabrica
- Cutting Machine
- Bearly Art Glue
To begin this project, you’ll need to upload the SVG into Cricut (or your preferred cutting machine), and then play around with the colors you’d like to use. I really liked the tones of the Woodstock papers, so I chose those, but feel free to use colors that will match your decor. The Woodstock papers die cut really well, so they were perfect for all these intricate cuts.
Resize your image to what you want it to be (make sure you have ALL the pieces selected when you resize) and then cut your pieces in your chosen colors.
Now you're ready to layer! In the past when creating these types of files, I started with the top layer, but this time around I decided to start from the bottom layer and work my way up. Please feel free to use whatever method you’re most comfortable with. In the past, I’ve also used foamies in between layers, however, since this file has 8 layers and all of the papers I used were 105lb, I felt comfortable with the sturdiness and dimension without adding foamies. That’s the best part about using thicker paper! All I used in between each layer was Bearly Art glue.
Voila! Your project is complete and ready to be displayed for your guests to fall in love with. I hope this project inspired you to Make Something Beautiful®!
