Hi everyone! Today I made a music themed mini album to share with you. I chose to do a record shape because it is as simple as cutting circles. My son plays bass guitar and this seemed like a perfect way to document his musical journey.
Let's get started!
Supplies:
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
- Lampone Sirio
- Lime Sirio
- Gialloro Sirio
- Limone Sirio
- Ultra Black Sirio
- Gun Metal Mirror
- Onyx Stardream
- Circle cutter, punch, or die cutting machine
- Jump ring
- Adhesive
- Stamps
- Alpha stickers
- Embellishments
- Fibers/ribbons for ring
I started with my black cardstock choices (Ultra Black, Gun Metal, Onyx) and cut three 3 inch circles out of each. You can add or subtract to reach the number of pages that you want in your album.
Next, I used my color cardstock choices (Lampone, Lime, Gialloro, Limone) and cut three 1.5 inch circles out of each. This gives you extras but allows you to mix up the colors as you want. You could also only use 3 colors to make it easier but I really wanted all 4 represented to match my embellishments. Out of each of these circles you want to cut or punch a half inch circle out of the middle. This created the record labels.
Next, I chose my photos to use. The first and last ones are senior photos of my son with his bass guitar. They are just to get things started and to end the album. The rest are all gig photos of him and his band through the years. I cut each photo into a 2.5 inch circle so that there was a little border around each.
After I had the pictures on, I added all of my embellishments. I used a combination of stickers and puffy stickers that were mainly music themed.
To each record I applied a label, mixing up the colors so that there weren’t 2 of the same together. I added the photo to the back of each and stamped the year on the label of the record.
Finally, I used my ¼ inch hole punch to add the hole to the upper left side of each page of the album. Then I put my ring through. I used a ¾ inch ring because that is what I had but any size that fits your album would work.
I finished everything off by adding some ribbon and tulle to my ring. I hope that this inspires you to create your own musical mini album!
