I began by die cutting my floral elements from a bunch of different papers. For the stems and leaves, I used Chartreuse. The blue flowers are a combination of Celeste and Azzurro cardstocks, and the pink ones feature Candy Pink and Hot Pink. I die cut the flower centers from Cacao and assembled the various layers with Bearly Art liquid adhesive.
I created a 5”x7” card base from Bright White cardstock. I trimmed a separate panel of Bright White cardstock and dry-embossed it. Initially, I had trimmed the embossed panel down slightly and attached it to my card with double-sided adhesive. Later, I removed the panel, trimmed it down more, and attached it with foam tape.
For my sentiment, I combined a die cut word with a hot-foiled phrase. I die cut the word “celebrate” from Bright White and Gold Diamond Print and glued them together for dimension. I cut the shadow from Candy Pink and adhered the glittery word on top. I hot-foiled a phrase in gold onto a piece of Hot Pink cardstock and die cut it into a banner.
I arranged my floral elements onto my card, placing foam squares behind the blooms and attaching the stems and leaves with liquid adhesive. I adhered my sentiments with bits of foam tape and finished with some glitter drops.
Thanks for stopping by! I can’t wait until my MIL receives this card – I hope she loves it as much as I enjoyed making it for her!
