Hi Friends, this is Kayla back on the blog! Christmas is just around the corner! Each year my oldest son gets an Advent calendar from his great-grandma. This year, we decided to keep the tradition going with our younger ones too and create one of our own with fun traditional Christmas activities!
You can make your envelopes like I did, or you can order envelopes directly from us to save a step!
Let’s begin!
SUPPLIES:
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers: Christmas Multi-Pack, Paper Bag Kraft, Black Licorice
- Crafter’s Tape
- Multi-purpose Liquid Glue
- Cutting Machine
- Christmas Washi Tape
- Pom Pom Garland or Festive Ribbon
- Clothespins
To begin, find the type of envelope style you like in your die cutting software, as well as a favorite font, and add a rectangle sized to fit inside your envelope.
Then add text to create the numbers for each day in December up until Christmas Day (1-25). You can use any font you like on whatever cutting machine you have.
These numbers will go on the outside of each envelope.
Once all pieces are cut, begin assembling!
To assemble the envelopes, follow along the score lines and use crafter’s tape where edges meet.
Now, using your favorite multi-purpose liquid glue, add the numbers to each envelope.
Write in fun Christmas activities and decorate your cards with festive washi tape, then insert one into each envelope.
Finally, hang each envelope onto the pom pom garland and secure with the clothespins!
How beautiful do these look all strung up on the mantel?
I hope you all enjoyed this fun DIY and Happy Holidays from my crafty family to yours!
If you make your own Christmas Envelope Advent, we would love to see it! Be sure to share it with us on Facebook and Instagram. Tag your crafty creations with #cardstockwarehouse to be featured on our page.
Happy Crafting!
