Hi, crafty friends! I love the Royaltone Cardstock! It has beautiful texture that looks like linen, so I wanted to highlight that with colored pencils. I really like how it turned out and I hope you do too!
Supplies
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
- Regal White Royaltone Linen 100lb
- Pewter Gray Royaltone Linen 100lb
- HoneyBee Stamps: Lovely Layers Tulips
- Studio Katia: Fancy Scallop Circle, Crystal Clear Confetti
- Lawn Fawn: Quilted Backdrop
- Altenew: Woodless Colored Pencils ( Peach Perfect, Grass Field, Dew Drops, Coral Bliss, Fresh Lemon)
This card is so super simple. I die cut the flowers using the Lovely Layers Tulips from the Regal White Linen cardstock.
The pictures don’t do the images justice, they are so beautiful with the linen texture! I colored the flowers and leaves with the colored pencils. I colored in the direction of the grain in both directions, I used a very light hand to keep it soft and when I wanted it darker I went over that part more times. I highlighted the embossed areas on the dies with the coordinating colored pencil.
I assembled the flowers and leaves with liquid glue.
I used the Fancy Scallop Circle Die and die-cut four circles from Regal White Lined cardstock. I love dimension, so I glued the four circles together on top of each other.
There was left over circle pieces from the center of the circle frames, so I used the Quilted Backdrop and die cut the circle piece to create a background pattern.
I used the beautiful Pewter Gray Linen Cardstock and die-cut the “hello” sentiment 3 times for dimension and glued those together.
I used the Pewter Gray Linen for my A2 size card base, and I adhered the circle frame then inlaid the die-cut circle. I added the flowers and die-cut sentiment, along with a stamped sentiment from my stash. I finished the card with Crystal Clear Confetti.
