DIY Concession Stand Football Tailgate Party

Football Tailgate Party Decor

Who’s ready for football season?!? In my household, we are sooo ready!! We are Big 10 fans, and we are crazy Buckeye fans!! We love throwing home tailgating parties for the games. I love this Concession Stand set and would love to show you how I made these items..so let's get started!!

Supplies:

  • Cardstock Warehouse Papers
    • White Lessebo Colours 83lb
    • Dawn Lessebo Colours 83lb
    • Dove Gray Lessebo Colours 83lb
    • Pitch Black Lessebo Colours 83lb
    • Nubuck Brown Colorplan 100lb
  • Glue (I used a glue gun)
  • Die Cutting Machine (Cricut or similar)
  • Twine or Ribbon
  • Toothpicks or lollipop sticks
  • Cricut Black Pen - optional
  • Mini Clothespins - optional
  • Cricut Design Space Cut File
  • For “Concession Stand” Stand (I found all of these at the Dollar Store)
    • Wood dowels
    • Floral foam
    • Buckets
    • Paper shred

Start by cutting all of your pieces. I used the papers listed above to cut out pieces for a banner, food picks, and popcorn boxes.

Now that you have your pieces, let's start with the banner. Glue the inner layers to the outer layers. You can use glue, or use foam tape to give them some dimension. Then glue your letters to the top. I glued mine so that the background colors alternated between letters.

To string your banner, you can either use mini clothespins (like I did) or punch little holes in the top right and left corners to string the pennants.

Now let's work on the food picks. This is totally optional, but I used a black Cricut pen to add these black squiggly lines to the footballs (part of the Cricut cut). Next, glue the white pieces to the footballs.

Once your footballs are assembled, glue them to food picks or toothpicks using hot glue. Now these are ready to skewer your food!

The last step is to make your treat boxes. I filled mine with popcorn, but you could fill them with whatever you like! You could also use them as favor boxes and fill them with party favors. Start by folding all the score lines.

Next, glue the flaps closed and add the white football lines.

Now you are ready to set up the cutest concession stand for any football party!! I put floral foam in buckets and inserted wooden dowels to hang the banner on.
