Hey there! It is Kira and I am back today with another fun project using my favorite Cardstock Warehouse papers. Here’s a look at everything I put together this month.
Supplies:

- Lessebo Colours Amazon 83lb.
- Cherry Wood Veneer 12 pt.
- Colorplan Rust 65lb.
- Colorplan Bright White 65lb.
- Adhesive
- Cricut (or any electronic die cutting machine)
- Dollar Tree Supplies: wood blocks, twine, wood skewers, and mini clothespins
For my 9-5 job, I work remote. The company I work for is Alaska-based and the employees are spread out all over the country. This makes party planning a little more challenging, but when my coworker announced her pregnancy, I knew I wanted to put something together for her and the rest of our team. She is a huge basketball fan, so I went with a basketball theme.
The first things I made were some desktop decorations. I made some pennants using this previous tutorial of mine. These pennants are so great because they are easy to customize to any theme!
a little desktop clothesline strung with paper onesies. For this project, you will need a few things from the Dollar Tree (wood blocks, twine, wood skewers, and mini clothespins) and onesies cut out of your cardstock of choice.
I also added some basketballs and the word “boy” to keep with the theme. To keep everything together during shipping, I adhered the onesies, letters, and basketballs all together in a line. Then I attached it to the twine using the clothespins. I drilled holes in the wood blocks and stuck the wood skewers in using a bit of glue. Finally, I tied the twine to the top of each skewer.
My next project was some party favor bags. I got these white paper ones from the Dollar Tree as well. Then, using the same onesie and basketball shapes, I made basketball onesies by attaching the ball to the onesie with foam adhesive. Then I took a mini clothespin and attached it to the bag. I also created canvas favor bags using fabric, twine, and some patches from Hobby Lobby.
And finally, no baby shower is complete without some games and activities. I knew I wanted some sort of craft, so I put together some bead kits so we could make some bracelets. For the games, I created a “Guess how many children the NBA player has” game and a “Guess the celebrity baby name” game.
I printed these games on my printer and then layered them with some of the same colored cardstock I had used for the decorations and favors. I also knew I wanted to use some wood veneer somewhere in this project to mimic a basketball court, so I layered each game on that to complete the look.
I packed everything into individual small boxes and shipped them to to each of the participants, and we picked a time to meet on Zoom. Since you don't have to provide food, beverages, or a location, this is a super affordable and super fun way to celebrate someone from afar! I can’t wait to celebrate my coworker and her new baby in a couple of weeks, and I hope she loves everything I put together for her.
