DIY Cardstock Paper Winter Scene

DIY Cardstock Paper Winter Scene

It’s time! Less than one month until Christmas and if you haven’t already, that means decorating! I don’t know about you, but I feel like I want to change my holiday look and color palette every year. There are just too many beautiful options to choose from. That’s why this cardstock winter scene is the perfect addition to your decor. It is beautiful and elegant but can also be easily changed to fit your look for this holiday season.

To start, you will need:

  • Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
    • Colorplan Imperial Blue
    • Colorplan Azure Blue
    • Sparkle Silver
    • Stardream Copper
    • White Birch Wood Veneer
  • Floral Foam Blocks
  • Wood Skewers, Toothpicks and/or Metal Wire
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Die Cut Machine

Using your die cut machine software, cut out the pieces you want in your forest scene. I chose these bare branch trees by Dreamy Fox Graphics, some snowflakes, and a deer family that resembled my own. The Colorplan, Sparkle, and Stardream collections cut so beautifully, even in the most delicate, thin areas.

Put those cut-outs aside and start on your floral foam base. I hot glued two rectangular pieces together to make it long a skinny. Using the White Birch Wood Veneer, I cut enough pieces to cover the front and sides of the foam and hot glued those on.

Grab your cut-outs and hot glue a wood skewer, toothpick, or metal wire to the back, depending on what works best with each cut-out. Place them into the foam based on the layout you want.
