Autumn Leaves Tea Light Holders

Hey Crafters! My favorite season of the year is in full swing! I love seeing the leaves change color and the air getting crisp and cool. This is my inspiration for my next project! Follow along to see what I will be making! As much as I LOVE candles, real ones aren’t always realistic. Today I am going to be making tea light holders with battery-operated candles. These are perfect for table decorations, place settings, and so much more. The cool part is that you can easily switch up the color pallet for each season.

Gather your supplies:

• Cardstock Warehouse Papers:
• Colorplan Rust 65 lb
• Lessebo Vanilla 83 lb
• Lessebo Shitake 83 lb
• Lessebo Dawn 83 lb
• Lessebo Moss 83 lb
• Lessebo Sunflower 83 lb
• hot glue gun
• Bearly Art® glue
• cutting machine
• SVG file from Chaiv on Etsy
• battery-operated tea light candles (DO NOT use real candles in paper decor)

Let’s begin! First, I started with this cut file from Chaiv on Etsy. I love how you can choose colors to make these work for any theme! You could also switch the flowers out for other embellishments to match your theme. 

For the paper, I used Vanilla, Sunflower, and Shitake for the flowers and I used Rust, Moss, and Dawn for the leaves.

Now we can begin cutting! 

Once you have all your pieces cut, we can begin assembling. Start by taking two of the leaf bases (they should be different colors) and adhere them on top of one another, but be sure that the leaves are offset from each other.

Next, assemble the flowers together. Start by adhering the flower pedals on top of each other from biggest to smallest. Then take the larger center piece in Sunflower and adhere it to the center of the flower and then adhere the smallest center in Shitake on the top.

To finish these off, take your leaf base, turn it over (whichever color you want on the outside, you should put it face down on your workspace area). Adhere the flowers onto the leaves.

Finally, take the leaf bases and create a circle with them so the two ends attach. Secure it with hot glue.

Lastly, add a tea light to the center and use them however you want! They are so versatile, the possibilities are endless.
