Hi there! Kayla here from HoneyBee Paper Co. Anyone else feel like this year is oddly flying by fast?
Today, I’m going to show you how to make Fall Gift Bags! These are perfect for your Fall table, to give out to neighbors, family and friends, and you can even coordinate them for other holidays!
Let’s gather our supplies!
SUPPLIES:
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers: Natural, Orange Fizz, Cherry Wood Veneer, Kraft Speckletone, Mid Green
- Cutting Machine
- 2-Way Zig Pen
- Mounting Tape
- Ribbon
First, I opened up Design Space and found the images I wanted to use for my gift bags.
For the gift bag, I used image #M36BD3 The Fall leaf, I used an image from a decorative pennant and then contoured the parts I did not want which left me with the leaf. For the acorn, I used image #MF9CB15D, and finally for the pennant, I used image #M8909FE7.
I resized my bag to have the final product be 5” tall. Be sure that when you are resizing the images, that you resize all images and that they all fit together (take into consideration flaps that will be folded).
Now, choose the colors you want for each cut image. For the gift bag, I used Kraft Speckletone, and the small pennant I used Natural. For the top of the acorn, I used Cherry Wood Veneer, and the bottom part of the acorn I used Orange Fizz. For the leaf I used Mid Green. These colors are so beautiful together and really bring out the Autumn feels in these bags!
Once your pieces are cut, we can begin assembling!
First, let’s begin by assembling the small gift bag. Fold along the score lines and use either glue tape or a hot glue gun for a more secure bag.
Next, I added ribbon to the top of the gift bag.
Once the ribbon was in place, I added the pennant underneath the knot of the ribbon, and then used my mounting tape to adhere the acorn and the leaf.
And there you have it! A simple gift bag for this year's Fall festivities!
Thanks for hanging out and I can’t wait to see all of your Mini Gift Bags! Share them with us on our Instagram or Facebook page, and use #cardstockwarehouse for a chance to be featured on our page!
Happy Crafting and Happy Fall!
