Gold Foil and Wax Seal Handmade Christmas Card

Gold Foil and Wax Seal Christmas Card

Hello, crafty friends! I hope you're having a great day! I can't believe the holiday season is so quickly approaching! To celebrate the upcoming holiday, I'm sharing with you a quick and easy card project that is perfect for mass production. Let's get started!

Supplies:

First, I used Spellbinders Winter Rose BetterPress Plate and matte foil to hot foil the image on White Lessebo cardstock. Lessebo cardstock is very smooth, so it is perfect for foiling! I then cut the panel down to 4.25 x 5.25 inches and then cut the panel at an angle. This is an easy way to add an interesting background, and you can use these pieces to make two cards instead of one!

Next, I created a wax seal by using the Merry Christmas wax seal. I used a gold paint pen to make the letters on the wax seal gold. Just make sure the seal is completely cooled/hardened before you use the marker on it.

I die cut holly sprigs and holly berries using Evergreen and Red Rose Lessebo papers. I then positioned the panel and holly sprigs on the A2 4.25 x 5.5 sized top folding card base. Once the elements were positioned, I used liquid adhesive to adhere them to the card. I then added double sided adhesive to the back of the wax seal and adhered it to the card.

The gold foiling and wax seal give this card a lot of depth and interest, while still keeping it simple enough to mass produce these for the holidays. Who doesn't love an easy but beautiful holiday card?!
