Hi crafty friends! I really love hot foiling on cards, it gives it such an elegant look. I thought it would be stunning on the Ultra Black cardstock. Also, it is so fun and satisfying! So, today I’m going to share some foiling with you. I hope you enjoy!
Supplies:
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
- Sirio Ultra Black 104lb
- Bright White 100lb Cover
- Hot Foil System
- Speckled Aura Foil
- Hot Foil Plates
- Glimmer Framed Details
- Magnolia Glimmer Blooms
- Sentiments plates
- Yana’s Layered Script Sentiments Dies
- Copic Markers: RV13, 14
- Light Pink Ink
- Studio Katia: Gold Fever Confetti
- Scor-tape
I’m making a mini slimline card, it measures 6.5 X 3.5 inches when folded in half, so my card base is 6.5 x 7. I cut a piece of Ultra Black cardstock to 6 x 3 inches. While my glimmer hot foil machine was heating up, I trimmed a piece of Speckled Aura foil and placed that on top of the black cardstock and then placed the Glimmer Framed details plate on top of that. I ran that through my die cut machine slowly, then I peeled back the foil to reveal the beautiful image.
On a separate piece of black cardstock, I foiled the birthday sentiment and used the coordinating die to cut it out. I used that same die to cut out three more black sentiment backgrounds. I glued all of those together for dimension.
I foiled the smaller "hello" sentiment on the top part of the card panel.
I already had a foiled flower from a previous project. (Magnolia Glimmer Blooms) It is foiled with Aura foil. I ink blended with light pink ink and then added some details with Copic Markers. I adhered that down and then adhered the foiled birthday sentiment on top of it. I added it to a Bright White mini slimline cardbase using Scor-tape and finished with Gold Fever sequin embellishments.
I hope you enjoyed this project! Making something crafty? We'd love to see your creations! Show us your creations on Facebook or Instagram. Tag your creations with #cardstockwarehouse to be featured in our stories!
