Good Witch or Bad Witch Cupcake Stands

Good or Bad Witch Cupcake Stands

Are you a good witch or a bad witch? This fun spin on traditional cupcake toppers are so fun for you themed parties. I love how they turned out and I would love to show how I made them…let's get to work!

Here's what you'll need:

Start by getting your die cutting files ready. The stand, arched background, and castle SVG are linked above. When uploading this to your machine, make sure to convert your score lines on the box for your specific machine. If you don't know how to do this, there are great tutorials on YouTube for each machine.

For the 3d witch hat and crown, I have linked some Cricut files, or you can search your machine's software for other 3d files you like. This project could be adapted in so many ways, so don't be afraid to think outside of the box!

Once you have your files prepared, cut all of your pieces. I am using a mix of Stardream, Mirror, and Glitter papers to make this project really shine.

Let's start with building the base of the cupcake stand. Fold the score lines on the box and glue the tabs together to create a standard rectangular box. I used hot glue to make sure mine would be nice and sturdy.

Once your box is made, glue the arched background piece that is the same color as the box to the back side of the rectangle. (I edited the file after I took these photos, so your piece will be arched even though the one shown in the pictures is a rectangle.) Then, glue your mirror paper base to the platform.

The arches are easy to assemble. Start with your mirror paper back plate, layer on the gold arch, then add the darker green arch on top of it. Once those are assembled, glue your green glitter paper castle to the inside of the arch. I used liquid glue for these since they are small pieces.

Now you're ready to make your hat and crown. To make these, simply roll them up and glue the tabs. For the witch hat, you'll then glue the circle to the bottom of the cone. Easy as pie!

Your cupcake stands are now ready to display at your party! Put the cupcakes on the stands and add their toppers. This is such a fun way to give everyone their own little special treat, and you can adapt this template to fit so many different themes!
