So guess what? We are making cards! It’s never too early to get a head start on holiday card making, and it’s even easier when someone else makes the SVG files for you! *cough* ME *cough* So let’s get into it.

CARD #1- 3D Christmas Trees
We’re going to start with our Christmas tree card. Make sure you cut out all of the SVG files included in this card. I used Harvest, Mist, White, and Racing Green for this card.
If you're using a Cricut, you'll need to convert the score lines on your card base and "attach" it, and then do the same with the score line on the tree. Then duplicate your tree 9 times.
You'll cut the Christmas tree out 9 times so that you have 3 layers for each Christmas tree. (The tree is only in the file once, so make sure you copy/paste it to get nine.) I also used a wood grain embossing folder on my white front card panel to add to the rustic feel of the card I am making.
If desired, use your white gel pen to go over all the edges of the Christmas trees to imitate snow. Fold two of the tree die cuts in half using the perforated marks provided in the SVG file. Glue the two folded tree pieces to a flat tree piece, edge to edge, to create a three-dimensional Christmas tree. Repeat this with the other two sets of three to make a total of three trees.
Adhere your sentiment on the top of your embossed panel. Make sure you have enough room for both the Christmas tree and the sentiments to be evenly placed. It always helps to lay it out before you glue to make sure your placement is correct!
Add your insert layer to the side that will be the inside of your card. This is where you will place your handwritten sentiment.
Add the mat layer to the front of your card base to prepare for the rest of your embellishments. I added foam to the back of my wood grain paper to add some dimension and adhered it to the card base on top of the mat.
Once everything has been put together and you’ve added your Christmas trees to the bottom of your card, your card is done! I added the stickles to the background for accents at the end. This card is simple to put together, but looks so fancy!
CARD #2- Decorated Holiday Door
Cut out everything included in your SVG file for card number 2. I used Madero Beach, Verdigris, Oatmeal, Antique Gold, and Cherry Wood Veneer papers for this card. (Again, if you are a Cricut user, be sure to convert and attach the score line for your card base.)
Start with your card base. Layer your woodgrain mat on top of your Verdigris green panel. I used wet glue for this. (You'll attach this to the folded card base later.)
Now assemble your door pieces. Layer your Oatmeal rectangular door panels on top of your Wood Veneer panels using wet glue. Then add the thin wood grain decorative outline pieces to the top of the doors.
To add some dimension, I added foam to the back of my door panel layers and centered them on my card base. I love how realistic this door looks with the wood veneer paper!
Now let's decorate the door! I cut my wreath out three times in two different colors (Verdigris and Wood Veneer) and layered them together with wet glue. My bow is Antique Gold Stardream Metallic. I also added a flat-back gold pearl to my bow. I added my sentiment to the bottom half of the doors.
Now you can adhere this entire panel to your folded card base. I adhered this with just wet glue since there is already dimension on the door front. Finally, add the insert to the inside of your card for you to write your note on.
At the last minute, I decided to add a little flat-back pearl to the doorknob as well. You could also cut your doorknob out multiple times and layer them together with wet glue for dimension. Now you are done with this card. Hooray!
CARD #3- Round Christmas Scene
Cut out all of your pieces in your choice of colors. I cut my card base in Antique Gold, my circle panels in Madero Beach, and my scene layers in Pitch Brown, Harvest, Verdigris, and Mist. (Don't forget those score line conversions, Cricut users!)
Let's start by building your card base. You should have a folding card base, and 4 circle panels; three small ones, and one larger one. Adhere one small circle on top of the larger circle. This is for the front of your card. Glue that down. Then glue the remaining two small circles to the inside of your card. This will give you space to write your sentiment.
Now let's work on building the scene for the card. The arrangement for the front of your card should look like this, in this order. Add thin strips of foam tape to cover the back of each layer to add dimension to the card, and then layer your pieces together.
Add your layered scene cluster to the top of your card base. I used wet glue for this so it would stay put. I added gold stars to accent my card as well and give it a bit of whimsy.
CARD #4- Christmas Fireplace
Cut your card elements out for card number 4. We are on the homestretch! I used Madero Beach, Cherry Wood Veneer, Gold MirriSparkle Glitter, Pitch Black, White Lessebo, and Oatmeal Speckletone for this card.
We’re going to start with the card base. Adhere the Wood Veneer panel to the front of the card base. I cut this to the exact size of the card base with no offset. I wanted the wood panel to be the only thing that was shown in the background. Also, add the inside layer to the card so that you have a nice place for your handwritten message.
Then, use wet glue to add your letters to the right side of the front of your card.
Now let's do the brick fireplace. Layer your brick fireplace cut file on top of your white fireplace backing so that the brick elements stand out. Then add a foam layer to the top layer of the fireplace and add the mantel to the top and hearth to the bottom.
To make the stockings, I used an embossing folder to emboss them and then added foam to the top of my stocking layer. Once they are put together, add the stockings to the top of your chimney layer. I used wet glue for this so they would not come off easily.
I added the little triangle trees to the top of my card. I made them a bit bigger because I didn’t know how far up I wanted them to go on the card. A little tip is to add the triangles before you add the fireplace, but I just cut them down so that they fit appropriately.
Now start adding your leaves to the side and the top of your chimney. This mimics the garland for the fireplace.
I cut my leaves out several times because I wasn’t sure of how many I wanted. I love how this is turning out! I also added the extra leaves included in the file. I cut them out in the gold glitter paper and placed them sporadically throughout the garland. I also fluffed up the garland by bending the leaves to make them look like they were sticking up a bit. Doesn’t that make it look a whole lot better?
Add your fire to the card inside the fireplace. I let it float a little and used foam tape to mimic high flames.
Finally, I added some small flat-back pearls to my chimney garland to mimic Christmas balls, and then I used a little strip of gold flat-back pearl string to adorn the fireplace opening.
Here are all the cards put together. I absolutely love how they turned out! They were easy to put together. The only hard part was cutting out all the files and being patient, lol! It's a lot of layering, but they are SO worth it!
I hope you enjoyed this card tutorial! Please enjoy the free SVG files I created and let us know what you make! As always, thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you!
