Spooky Haunted House Greeting Card

Spooky Haunted House Greeting Card

Hey crafty friends! I love all things Halloween and Haunted Houses are so fun! So, I decided to create a slimline Haunted House scene using greys and blacks with a pop of orange. This was super fun to put together so, let’s get started.

    • Tangy Orange Pop-Tone 100lb
    • Bright White Colorplan 100lb
    • Dark Grey Colorplan 100lb

    • White Diamond Print Inkjet Glitter 104lb
  • Halloween Dies
  • Whimsy Stamps: Build-A-Graveyard Die

I started with a slimline (3.5" x 8.5") piece of Bright White cardstock and inked a “moon” with Scattered Straw and Squeezed Lemonade in the upper-righthand corner. I used the cloud stencil with Hickory Smoke and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks and I stenciled right over the “moon.” I die cut some grass using the Dark Grey cardstock and adhered that to the slimline base.

I die cut all of the pieces to the haunted house using the Build-A-House die and Halloween add-on. I labeled all of the colors I used.

I die cut images from Build-A-Graveyard in Real Grey and Dark Grey and the spiders and spiderweb in Ebony and Black MirriSparkle.

I added the spooky fence (Dark Grey) behind the haunted house. I added the other fence and tombstones at the bottom with a layer of grass popped up with foam tape. I added a few ghosts, spiders, and spiderweb. I added a few bats to the sky and now there is a fun Halloween scene.

Assembled haunted house card

I love adding details to images, so I added a black glaze pen to the eyes and mouth of the ghosts and cracks to the tombstones with Copic Markers. I finished with an orange stamped sentiment. You can leave this as a flat card like I did, or you can adhere your finished slimline piece onto a bi-fold slimline card base.

Here is my finished card! I really love how it turns out!
