I think fall is my favorite season! I love everything about it, sweatshirt & legging weather, campfires & smores, EVERYTHING pumpkin, and of course the changing of the leaves, which give me inspiration for this project. I thought this would make a beautiful fall decor and you can write what you are thankful for on the leaves. This is so fun and meaningful for your family! I would love to show you how I made these items, so let's get started!!
Supplies:
- Cardstock Warehouse Papers:
- Vanilla Lessebo Colours 83lb
- Gialloro Sirio Color 80lb
- Bagdad Brown Colorplan 100lb
- Vermillion Colorplan 100lb
- Rust Colorplan 100lb
- Nubuck Brown Colorplan 100lb
- Liquid Glue
- Foam Pop Dots
- Die Cutting Machine (Cricut or similar)
- Twine
- Mini clothespins
Start by choosing your cut file for your banner. I found mine by searching "leaf" and "acorn" on Cricut Design Space, but you can use any leaves you like. I used the "offset" feature to add the second layer to give it a border and some dimension.
Once your pieces are cut, glue the front layers of the leaves to the back layers using liquid glue.
Then, do the same for the two pieces of your acorns.
I used foam pop dots to adhere the acorns on the leaves and add some dimension. Now you and your family can write what you are thankful for on each leaf.
I chose traditional fall colors for my garland, but you could make these any color you like!
Hang your garland somewhere in your home where you will see it daily and be reminded of all your blessings! You could also lay it across the center of your table.
