Love is in the air!! I love adding a few Valentine's Day decorations around the house and thought this Love Valentine banner would be super cute to make and add to my decorations this year! I would love to show you how I made these items... so let's get started!!
Supplies:
- Cardstock Warehouse Papers
- Stardream 105lb: Azalea, Rose quartz, Crystal, & Jupiter
- Mirricard Mirror Collection: Red
- MirriSparkle Collection: Pink Sapphire & Red Wagon
- Cardstock Warehouse Craft Essentials
- Glue
- Ribbon or twine
- Foam Pop Dots
- Hole punch
- Scissors
- Die Cutting Machine (Cricut or similar)
- Cut file: SVGCuts Love Banner
Start by die cutting all of your pieces. I used the colors listed above, but you can use whatever colors you like! I wanted lots of SHINE in this project, so I chose from the MirriSparkle Glitter, Mirror, and Stardream Metallic collections. These papers are all so glitzy and are also nice and sturdy so my banner will last a long time!
I decided to cut the back off of the banner to make it into 2 pieces so I could make the backs different colors than the fronts of the banner. The piece shown below (letter O) is cut with Azalea Stardream, but I cut the other three letters in Crystal, Rose Quartz, and Jupiter.
This is how I decided to arrange the layers of the banner. I stacked them all up before gluing them to make sure I liked how they looked. I just love these paper colors together!
I glued the top layer to the second top layer with wet glue. Next, I added foam pop dots on the back of the top layer and then put it on top of the back piece. Then, I used pop dots to attach the inside letter pieces. I love how much dimension this has when you use foam pop dots! You can find foam pop dots on the Cardstock Warehouse Craft Essentials page.
Repeat all the above steps with the rest of the letters. They will look like this when you are done. Once you get all the pennants done, use a hole punch to punch holes in the top corners of each letter. Then it's ready to string. I used pink bakers twine for this because it looks perfect for Valentine's Day!
The Mirrisparkle glitter cardstock gives just the right amount of sophisticated bling and I love how the Red Mirricard Mirror Cardstock shines!
Now it's time to decorate your home with your new Love Banner and show the love this Valentine's Day! You can hang this on a fireplace mantel, lay it down the center of your table, hang it below a shelf, or stick it on any open wall space! So many cute possibilities!
