Hi, crafty friends! For my project today, I made a card that has some beautiful contrasting colors. Red and Yellow are so beautiful together. I love the bright yellow with the deep red and then the white just softens the whole look. Picking beautiful card stock can dramatically affect your card design. I can’t wait to show you what I did, so let’s get started.
Supplies
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
- Sirio Cherry
- Banana Split
- Pure White
- Simon Says Stamp: Floral Card Front Die, Beautiful Flowers
- Black Ink
- Nuvo Crystal Drops Simply White
- Ranger Diamond Stickles
I started by using the Floral Card Front and die cutting one each from Cherry and Banana Split and then I die cut two from Pure White. I will be using the white for the frame of the die and yellow and red for the inlay part of the flowers and butterfly.
On a Pure White A2 size card base, I adhered the two white frames (I glued those together for dimension) onto the card base. I then glued all of the inside pieces from the die cuts, Banana Split for the flowers, Cherry for the leaves, centers of the flowers and the butterfly. I glued those in with liquid adhesive.
I finished the card with the stamped sentiment in black ink from the Beautiful Flowers Stamp Set and then used the Simply White Crystal Drops for embellishment on the flower pedals.
I wanted to add some glitter to the card so I used Diamond Stickles for the centers of the flowers and some detail on the wings of the butterfly.
I hope you enjoyed this project, have a wonderful day!
